New Addition to Dig Smart of Maine

Shawn Paradis started in February 2011. A Madawaska native, now Gorham resident. Licensed electrician with experience working residential, commercial, and industrial sites. After training with Glen for 4 months on a variety of jobs including shipyards, paper mills, and other commercial, industrial sites, he has aquired the skills necessary to give the information needed by our customers. Shawn has also taken online courses through Staking University which gave knowledge about the background and science behind Locating. Being in the electrical field for seven years, Shawn has seen and experienced installations of conduits and wires in the ground which makes him a great candidate for Electronic location of pipes and cables. Shawn graduated from Northern Maine Community College in Presque Isle, Maine with an Associates degree in Electrical Construction and Maintenance in 2004. He has recently been trained on a our new GPR(ground penetrating radar) which gives us a huge advantage in locating because not only can we tell our customer what is in the ground, but we can also give them a detailed report with pictures of our findings thanks to the Ground Penetrating Radars vast capabilities.

The property manager of the building had a concern that there might have been a buried sewer manhole and called the Dig Smart team to locate it for them.
