Glen Speaks at MUST Seminars

From March 23 to 27, 2009, several Excavation Safety Seminars were held across Maine, from Bangor to Wells, and Glen was among the speakers. The seminars were conducted by MUST (Managing Underground Safety Training): a group of utilities, contractors, utility commissions and other organizations working together to make dig sites safer and more efficient. There was even a fine breakfast.

The idea behind the seminars was to bring together everyone involved with underground utilities, in order to discuss their roles and responsibilities regarding underground utilities. Representatives from Dig Safe, the Maine Public Utilities Commission and several companies spoke about their experiences working with underground utilities, and their processes for dealing with them.

One point that several of the speakers made was the importance of having accurate information on type and location nature of utilties in and around any work site where excavation is involved.
